OPEN WORKSHOPS

3-5pm, Wednesday 19 November, Thursday 20 November, Friday 21 November
Drop in, drop out and sample a selection of ‘hits from the gong’.

Between 3pm and 5pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the IBP workshop opens to the public. These two hour freeform sessions will sit somewhere between a noise laboratory and improvised jam session.

The artists will be experimenting and exploring new ‘instruments’ including the table hurdy-gurdy, bird organ, electromagnetic spinningfields, shell vibes, wall hammer, and things that don’t yet have a name. This is all in advance of more formal concerts and programming that will take place on Sat 22 and Sun 23 Nov.

Everyone is invited to come and join in!

NGV Studio, The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia at Federation Square from the 1-23 November 2014
Closing Weekend: Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November

All the girls and boys

Cost: Free
Max 10 people (on a first come first serve basis)

2pm-3pm
Tintin Wulia spins the pedals on the Odong-Odong Dang Ding and explains the mechanics of composing for this souped-up road machine – in advance of Sunday’s four-wheel rally to the Federation Bells.
