EVENTS
(im)possible concert and possible discussion.
3pm-6pm, Saturday 13th July
A concert of experimental music with a series of short performances using new instruments invented by The Instrument Builders Project (IBP) at iCAN. The IBP is an attempt to create new sounds and new ways of playing and in turn tackle the question; can we go successfully generate new ‘forms’ of music?
Performing installation
3pm-6pm, Sunday 14th July
“ Apparatus – The way in which the parts of a machine or of a mechanism and, by extension, the mechanism itself, are arranged.” – definition from Giorgio Agamben’s ‘What is an apparatus?’
A ‘performing installation’ event for an audience who navigate through an uncanny environment populated by invented ‘instruments’ that all connect, as in the cogs of a giant mysterious machine. But what does this machine produce?
