Kristi Monfries is an Australian/Indonesian curator, arts manager and producer with a specific interest in cross-disciplinary artistic practice. She has been working from Indonesia since 2009 and is based in Yogyakarta.

In her capacity as a curator she has independently organised many international visual arts shows for Home Gallery-Prague, Czech Republic; ROOM Galerij w/ Edwoud Van Rijn and Karin De Jong-Rotterdam, The Netherlands; KOMPILASI: A Survey of Contemporary Indonesian Art, BUS Gallery Melbourne, Australia Ruang Mes56: Contemporary Photography from Indonesia Centre for Contemporary Photography Melbourne, Australia and hosted 2 shows in her home-HOMESHOWS 1 & 2 in Fitzroy, Melbourne. She was also on the board of Seventh Gallery in Melbourne from 2006 to 2007 and coordinated several shows during her tenure.

Kristi has been focusing her attention on collaborative projects between the Indonesian and the Australian arts community which resulted in many cross collaborative project such ILMU Hip Hop Festival, Tropis///Subsonics and The Instrument Builders Project. She is also the program manager for Bumi Pemuda Rahayu an new arts centre located in Muntuk village that has focus on environmental sustainability. She also manages Senyawa.
