Time Hammer, 2014
wooden hammer, hinges, rope and handle, electronics, motor, garden sprinkler, clock, L.E.D lights, wall mural and text.

A poetic attempt to break the NGV studio wall, Time Hammer is the artist’s statement in defiance of all limitations imposed on time and space.

“My name is Semar. My body is round like the earth. I see above, but I am pointing below. My mouth is smiling, but my eyes are swollen. I am a man, but I have breasts. I am a god that lives with humans. I am the living philosophy of Javanese. I am a symbol of harmony of the world”
